We realize that visiting a church for the first time can be a tough experience, and we want to put you at ease! Your first visit to Gospel Light Baptist Church will be refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable for your whole family. You will experience inspiring music, helpful preaching and teaching, friendly people, and a place where you feel welcomed and "at home." Here are a few answers to some questions you may have and what you might expect during your first visit:
Our church is located on the east end of Price Lane near South 8th Street. You will see our distinct sign next to the road. The parking lot in front of the church is reserved for visitors and handicapped guests. As you approach the entrance of our church, one of our hospitality greeters will direct you to the right classes and auditorium. They can also answer any questions you may have.
Most adults attend one worship service where they enjoy beautiful and inspiring music of the choir, ensembles and soloists. The music is always followed by a clear, helpful, and challenging Bible message from Pastor Noel Cwenar. Our morning worship services are right about one hour in length. During the 6:00pm hour, there are Bible Classes for all ages. These classes are smaller group settings where you are invited to meet others in your life-stage and hear a teaching lesson more directly applicable to you. The best way to get to know the people of Gospel Light Baptist Church is to attend one of our Bible Classes.
There is no dress code at Gospel Light Baptist Church for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and several of our church family wear more "traditional" Sunday dress; however, our main goal is that you feel welcome and comfortable during your visit here.
No. We don't invite you to Gospel Light Baptist Church for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God's Word and a place where you can grow in God's grace. Please don't feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.
